C What I do know is that
D What the architects have achieved
E it was in Kraków where I really got
F What I hadn't expected was
My travel blog
I've jus spent a few days visiting Poland. What a great country! It's really opened my eyes to somewhere I knew very little about.
So, first Warsaw. 1... most about this city. So much was destroyed in the Second World War, but the way it has been restored and rebuilt is an amazing achievement. 2... is amazing. 3... the amount of green space in the city. Apparently, outdoor spaces like the Park Skaryszewski take up almost 25% of the city's area. It made walking around a pleasure.
I loved Warsaw, but 4... a sense of Poland's history. This is partly influenced by the fact that it has been left almost untouched since the 13th century. The Old Town is stunning, and Rynek Glowny, the square in the centre, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 5... spend some more time outdoors. Maybe hiking in the Tatras, who knows? 6.... will be coming back soon.
